Welcome to Troop 24

Boy Scout Troop 24 in Riverside, Illinois, has been chartered by the Riverside Presbyterian Church since 1939, although the Troop was in existence even before RPC became its charter organization. The predecessor of Troop 24 (Troop 1 of Riverside) was formed in 1917, soon after the Boy Scouts of America was founded in 1910.  You can read more about our history here.

Today, Troop 24 has 70 scouts organized into patrols. Troop 24 serves boys in the area roughly encompassing the Riverside-Brookfield High School District. Both Pack 24 (also sponsored by Riverside Presbyterian Church) and Pack 120  (sponsored by Holy Name Society of Mater Christi) cross over Cub Scouts into Troop 24.  Troop meetings are held once a week at the Riverside Presbyterian Church.

With the support of both our chartering organization and the community, Troop 24 continues to be a growing, thriving organization that welcomes new boys into its ranks each year.
